Silky & Top Kat are Death Of Guitar Pop, a 2 tone-inspired Ska duo from Essex. DOGP have been building a huge buzz since self releasing their debut track/video 'Rickety Old Train' in Nov 2016. Skinheads, Mods & Rudies all around the world are skanking to their infectious Ska Pop sound.
Death Of Guitar Pop have been endorsed by ska royalty such as Pauline Black (The Selecter) and Dave Wakeling (The Beat). Bad Manners horn section are a regular fixture in the DOGP live band, and Neville Staple (The Specials) has also shown the band love, sparking a collaboration on a song together titled Suburban Ska Club. In true 2 Tone “DIY Spirit” the band are self managed and fiercely independent! The band’s DIY grind is proving to be a successful one. DOGP have crowd funded both of their albums, raising 20k in funding from fans.
